James Sleight came to Australia to undertake professional indemnity work for insurance brokers after having done similar work in London for the medical and dental profession. He escaped the then known firm of Westgarth Baldick only to find himself working for Blake Dawson Waldron in Papua New Guinea. After returning to Sydney for some years he left BDW as a Senior Associate in Commercial and Banking Litigation to practice at the Bar.
Whilst at the Bar his practice has evolved from a straightforward common law practice to encompass the more complex areas in which he used to practise as a solicitor such as Professional Negligence, Insurance and Commercial.
